Skip to contentThe museum lies in the heart of Ribe in the beautiful, newly-renovated museum quarter surrounding Quedens Gaard. The entry to the museum is located in Sortebrødregade 1 and leads into the shop and ticket office.
The museum is a little over 5 minutes’ walk from Ribe Station and Ribe Bus Station. Walk along Dagmarsgade towards the town centre. Sortebrødregade is on the right hand side after St.Catherine’s Church.
Ribe’s narrow streets are not suitable for traffic and parking is limited. Use the large car park at the edge of the town centre and walk the few hundred metres to the museum through Ribe’s charming streets.
It is possible to drive into Sortebrødregade from its southern end and stop by the entry to the museum, but the closest parking is more than 200 metres away.
The museum is housed on the first and second floors of old, listed buildings. Unfortunately, this makes wheelchair access difficult.Owing to the limited access, wheelchair users are admitted free of charge.
A small lift has been installed in the building. This provides some wheelchair users with access to the greater part of the first floor. NB! The lift is too small for some wheelchairs. The lift measures 111 x 104 cm. We accept companion cards.
We regret that not everyone will be able to visit HEX! For this reason, we are working on a virtual visit that can be used by everyone.
